In ancient mahjong you must combine 2 of the same mahjong stones to remove them from the mahjong field. you can only use free mahjong stones. a free stone is not covered by another stone and at least 1 side (left or right) is open. you can combine any flwoer tile with another, the same applies to the season tiles.
