Powerful wizards, in order to live longer and cheat death, lock pieces of their souls in objects they value, often something that they never lose by having them out of sight. this particular one divided his soul in 8 blocks which he used to build his magical and impenetrable tower, which unfortunately isn't that safe against inner problems. the sorcerer need them, but can't go down there with the lava and rays coming up. you have 8 bricks under your command, but can save only one piece of soul, using almost any key and at least ad or left and right keys to dodge.
