Erudite is a classic word scramble game with a few new twists! the objective of erudite is to spell as many english words as possible in a given time frame. play in 3 different game modes (classic, frenzy, and marathon) for different paces of gameplay. classic find words scrambled in a 4x4 grid of tiles. once you've spelled a word, tap it to play that word. the tiles you used will be replaced with new tiles, opening up the possibility for new words. each tile has a point value, and longer words will earn you more points. frenzy a fast-paced version of classic that replaces new letter tiles as you use them, allowing you to spell longer words and make risky bets to spell words requiring letters that may appear on the board as you're spelling. like classic, each tile has a point value and longer words earn more points. marathon a slower-paced casual game mode where the objective is to find as many words as you can in 5 minutes. unlike classic and frenzy, tile point values and longer words are irrelevant. at the end of each game, you'll earn coins based on the points you earn. coins can be spent on boost power ups. boost power ups in classic and frenzy modes, boost power ups allow you to gain an advantage in game play. there are 3 boost power ups: 1. extra time - start with 20 extra seconds. 2. wildcard tiles - adds special tiles that can be used for any letter (like a joker in cards) 3. multiplier tiles - adds word and letter bonuses to random tiles levels and multipliers after a few games and enough points, you will start to level up. each level increases your point multiplier, allowing you to earn points at an increasing rate. the more you play, the more you'll level up and earn more points and coins. coins coins are earned after each game based on the number of points earned. coins can be used to purchase boost power ups. energy lives the game starts with 10 energy lives which can be used to play any game. each game costs 1 energy life. energy is regenerated over time but can be refilled more rapidly with an in-app purchase. share share your scores on facebook after each game! gamecenter view high scores and achievements. challenge your friends to compete! words our dictionary includes thousands and thousands of words, including many obscure and rare words. if you're not sure, try it! if there are any words you think we should add, let us know! contact us: erudite@monkee.es
