On a distant planet, your mining operation has come under attack from hordes of alien creatures. it is up to you to defend the fortress from these mindless beings. the aliens come from all directions and it is up to you to make sure your soldiers are at the right place at the right time to defend the walls. after each wave you must recruit new units to strengthen your defenses. failure is not an option.
