It's finally happened... the zombie outbreak is here and the zombies are on the move. your only hope for survival is to get active and outrun them! the outbreak is a team-based activity game where your real-world steps and exercise allow you to stay ahead of a hungry horde of zombies that's chasing you through the remnants of your city. each week of the 6-week challenge, you and your team will race to a new safe house, trying to stay ahead of other teams and the zombie horde. but stay on your toes, the zombies who are chasing you aren't the only zombies you'll run into. obstacles and pockets of zombies line your path to each safe house, and you'll have to be strategic about spending your steps (earned by walking/running in real-life) and power (earned by exercising in real-life) or saving them for an opportune moment. you'll start the challenge as a human, but if you fail to stay ahead of the zombie horde you risk turning into a zombie yourself... at which point your steps and exercise help the zombies move faster and do more damage. will you survive, or will you make sure no one else does? -sync your steps and exercise from fitbit or healthkit* -form a team and get active** -use your real-world steps to move your team -use your real-world exercise to battle zombies -keep track of your progress on the leaderboards the outbreak is a 6-week health activity challenge designed to help you achieve your personal health goals by testing and improving your weekly commitment to daily movement and exercise. so… load up the app, join a 6-week challenge, get inspired and get results! *use your favorite fitness tracker or fitness app to sync your activity data to the outbreak. please consult your individual app(s) to ensure that they have permission to write to healthkit. **the outbreak requires a group code in order to participate. if you are part of a private group challenge, please consult your challenge organizer for your group code. if you're an individual or group in need of a group code, please visit outbreakchallenge.com to find a challenge starting soon or to get started with a private group challenge.
