In short this game's about defending your sweets against hungry insects. of course you're going to foil their plans! place toadstools to block off their way through. you can also attack the critters: use thorny roses that shoot their thorns in three directions. plant daisies and gather the pollen they make. your candy guardians need these pollen grains. plant sunflowers next to guardians to upgrade them. good luck!
